Hi Everyone, I would like to introudce myself, Im Donna Alfeo and I am one of last years Super Challengers.
I would just like to let everyone know about a fantastic opportunity that the Federal Government have just put in place as of June 2009, its called The Green Loans program.
The Green Home Loans program is a program that allows each house hold if the household income is below $250,000 combined to apply for a loan of up to $10,000 interest free.
The loan is so the household can use the funds to buy products for the residence to make the residence more sustainable. ie. water tanks, solar hot water and items like energy efficent products for the home, front loader washer machine, energy efficent appliances. (while also using the normal goverment rebates)
To apply for the loan each applicants residence must have a free Home Sustainablity assesment by one of the goverments qualified assessors. The assements gives the household certain recommendations as to what will make there residence more sustainable.
Myself and 15 of my collegues have now been trained as assessors in the Wollongong/Illawarra area and are now available to undertake assesments in our great Illawarra area.
This is a fantasic opportunity for residents in the area and im happy to email any information to anyone who is interested in the Green Loans Program.
