What a wonderful book to win, especially when you are new to the Illawarra, and have inherited a loved kitchen garden, complete with Olive, fig and bay trees, two loquats and a rash of self-seeded rocket, run amok mint and wild rosemary.

This book sounds like an invaluable reference for turning fresh produce into interesting and nourishing meals. I am particularly interested in the planting and cultivation notes for some of the more 'exotic' veges.

I love Stephanie Alexander's work to involve people in where their food comes from, especially children. It is sad to think there may be a generation growing up now that have never really seen how vegetables grow and how they get from the ground to the table.

    Cheers,

Would love this book. I have started a vegetable garden and now cooking classes using vegetables grown from the garden at my kids school. This would be a great book to help me with this and to share with the children at the school.

My 3 favourite things are gardening, books and serving fruit and veg so fresh it doesn't even realise it's been picked yet.
Like everyone else here I would love this book.
